Dear Colina Parents-
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the change in weather. As we look toward upcoming events, this is also the time of year that our PTSA Executive Board re-organizes as some members term out and others matriculate to the high school. Our Executive Board has the following positions listed as OPEN for the 2019-2020 school year. It is a wonderful group to be a part of and great way to get involved in the most formative of schooling years. The PTSA open positions include:

I do hope you are interested in joining our Executive Board. The commitment is fairly minimal compared to elementary school and a great way to positively support our school. Attached to this message is a PDF with bullet point descriptions of each position. We will be looking to fill these positions by February. Here are a few upcoming events:
6th Grade Leadership Classes- Mr. Frank will be hosting leadership classes for students interested in ASB and student leadership. Students will learn different leadership types, traits and strategies in leadership as well and how ASB uses these skills in building a positive school climate. Classes will be held in the mornings from 8-845 am in the library. These classes will begin this Thursday 1/17, and continue on Friday 1/25, Friday 2/1, Friday 2/8, Thursday 2/14, and Friday 2/22.

January 15, 2019 Minimum Day : Parents please keep in mind that students without a period 6 class will be dismissed at 11:55 am while all other students will be dismissed at 1:05 pm.

January 30, 2019 Coffee with the Counselors event for current 6th and 7th grade parents. During this event, we will be providing information about 7th and 8th grade and will be reviewing the class preference forms for the 2019-2020 school year. Parent questions will be answered during this event, as well. No RSVP is required. We look forward to seeing you in the Library at 9:15 am!
