Dear CVUSD Families: On the evening of Friday, March 13th Governor Gavin Newsom released a new Executive Order for the purpose of addressing how a Local Educational Agency, such as Conejo Valley Unified School District, may continue to deliver high-quality educational opportunities to students during a period of closure.
In conjunction with this Executive Order, and additional guidelines expected this Tuesday, the District’s leadership team is consulting with government agencies this week to obtain clarification and guidance on a comprehensive plan for all learners during school closure. In order to best serve our families when new guidance is received, we ask that each CVUSD family please complete the following survey: https://forms.gle/cwCPDUQrLtFDSeqm8
All questions in this survey are optional, and only one survey per household need be submitted. Grade level activities are now available for students and families online here: bit.ly/CVUSDactivities4kids. This link will also be easily found on each school website’s homepage via a "CVUSD Activities Library" button.
Hard copy packets of activities, along with copies of the above survey, will also be available each day at these eight locations/times where FREE sack lunches will be available for children ages 2-18. Packets and the above survey will also be available at the District Office (1400 E. Janss Road, 91362) from 7:30am till 4:30pm each day next week.
We thank you again for your patience and understanding as we navigate unchartered territories with the best interest of our students in mind.
Please expect to receive information from Conejo Valley Unified School District regarding new guidance from the Governor, and school closure update by 5pm on Wednesday, March 18th. For additional information, and updated FAQs please continue to visit: conejousd.org/coronavirus.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mark McLaughlin Superintendent of Schools Conejo Valley Unified School District
